November 4, 2010 was celebrated as the first ever Sex Toy Day, recognizing the joyful use of adult toys to a diverse adult public at large. The event was successful enough to draw so many people to its sex toy on line site that 1,000 free vibrators were given away in just over ten minutes.

If there was any question to how much adults use sex toys in their foreplay and bedroom antics there can be none now. Whether couples bring a dildo to bed with them-for both male and female use-or a woman uses am vibrator for her nightly masturbation rituals, sex toys are in the forefront in people’s sex lives. Porn films feature them, daily T.V. shows have shown them and more than one bride’s maid has bought them for a shower gift.

It used to be thought that if a couple needed a toy in bed they were simply not attending to one another sufficiently or were too selfish to care to. But the way toys are made these days, the manner in which high end materials and rechargeable batteries are built into the machines, makes sex toys less marital aids then nice diversions for a couple in bed or an ever quick way to get the job done for those on a solo mission up their southern regions.

Some toys are made so artfully they can be put on a shelf as pieces of.

Made for exclusive anal use, clitoral stimulation or prostate massage, and much more, there are so many items available, in high-end stores or on line even, that no couple should be without something to add a little sexual spice if they want it. No longer does one need worry about having to hide walking into the back area of a store or draw stares they might be a pervert because they are looking at particular novelty items.

All those people who contributed to the November adult toy day were glowing with their reviews on line, expressing a deep gratitude to how a specific toys enhanced their love life, boosted confidence and helped in overall sexual health. A whopping eighty nine percent of the people who logged onto to the site to grab a free toy said they would own or buy an adult toy as a present and admitted using them at regular intervals in their week.

Swiss Company Pharmacia Latex Aktiebolaget will begin producing a new condom called Hooker NRT which will have nicotine in the lube. This isn’t the first time the Swedish company has experimented with stimulants in their condoms and the hope is that the nicotine will be absorbed through the skin, giving the wearer more energy during sex. And though it’s not possible for the company to make the claim for a quit smoking campaign, one get their fix of their smoking addiction the more they have safe sex!

Of course there is the implication of the harmful effects on a partner who doesn’t smoke or if the stimulants are so powerful and addictive might they become addictive?

Or might the practice of infusing condoms with stimulants in fact raise condom use-a very good thing-but at the same time mute natural responses-a bad thing. Relying on the condom to stimulate each other might a couple try less for foreplay and even good fucking like you see on porn?

The good and bad of human behavior is that we adapt relatively quickly to new surroundings and stimulants. A man and woman might find that extra stimulation jolt of nicotine a heady rush but after time might grow to enjoy or even expect it. And after prolonged use, like anything else in human nature, might the couple look for a bigger jolt? Plenty of women report getting addicted to their vibrator or dildo, knowing no man or woman can ever please them so effort and expertly and many men become so addicted to masturbating they can’t orgasm with a partner unless they stroke their own dick to do so.

Finding porn on line wasn’t enough, now we’re sexting. A woman who likes to feel a little open hand spanking from time to time might see herself, over time, stretching the limits of her fetish to include a belt. The concept over gateway drugs has been debated since drug use began. Add drugs to our already over-sensitive libidos, libidos feed with what we can view on line at any time and the constant bombardment of our media with ever more sexual images, do we really need stimulants to get our cocks hard and pussies wet.

And in the end will they do us much good?
